Why is this article written in English?

It obviously doesn't apply to non-Thais who are forbidden from owning land in Thailand.

A more appropriate article should be written in Thai, and published in one of America's Thai-language newspapers. In America, Thai people are welcomed and are free to purchase land and homes with full rights of ownership.
