IPM earmarks B1bn for TV content boost

Satellite producer wins 56 licences from NBTC

IPM TV will allocate 1 billion baht to produce more local content and buy foreign programmes over the next two years.

The company recently obtained 56 licences from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission to run satellite TV channels.

Of the total, 11 channels are designed for local content exclusively produced for the IPM platform. The company now has its own production team in southern provinces such as Chumphon, Trang and Phuket.
