Phra Ajarn Cagino spurned a career in photography, but picked up the camera again to do good

Monks walking on a log over a running creek, residing in a cave, sitting in meditation at the edge of a cliff, and going for an alms round in a remote mountainous village. Looking at these photos in the "Dhammafarers" exhibition, on show at Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives in Chatuchak District, leaves several striking impressions.

Every offering is a cleansing of the heart. Though poor, ethnic minority villagers and children share their food to support wandering monks towards their spiritual journey.

The breathtaking beauty of the images is one. Another is the rarity of the spiritual journey undertaken by the tudong monks who wander barefoot through mountains, forests and caves in a pursuit of inner peace and ultimate joy.
